The Philippine Region

CB Philippines was founded in 1967 by the Indonesian province. Since 26 June 1992, CB Philippines has been a region. The sisters are involved in various apostolic works in five dioceses in Luzon (Manila and Imus) and Minanao (Malaybalay, Pagadian and Davao).

These dioceses depend on local needs but also on the resources available to the congregation, such as personnel, educational background and the capacity of the sisters assigned to a particular area.

Our house in the Archdiocese of Davao is suitable for retreats, recollections and other spiritual formation activities. The centre for street children helps in the overall formation of disadvantaged children who also receive education. Two sisters work in the parish of San Pedro Cathedral and St. Jude Parish.

Diocese of Malaybalay

Our convent is located on the campus of Central Mindanao University. The sisters assist students and parishioners in their spiritual formation. The sisters hold regular prayer meetings for both students living in private homes and those living in university student residences. One sister is in charge of the parish nursery school. Another sister is in charge of the retreat house, which is owned by both the diocese and the parish. We are involved in catechetical apostolic work in the centre but also in the outlying areas. BEC (Basic Ecclesial Communities) – Christian basic communities are organised by the sisters in the parish.

Our apostolate in the diocese of Manila includes the Basic Ecclesial Communities (BEC) at diocesan level. The retreat house offers room for spiritual formation and other activities for the parish and neighbouring provinces.

The retreat house in the diocese of Imus provides spiritual formation for the various dioceses in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

In the diocese of Pagadian, we are involved in organising various activities of the sub-parish and assist in the spiritual formation of both lay leaders and parishioners.
