THE APPLICATION PROCESS

A candidate may be admitted if she:

  • is not bound by marriage;

  • is not bound to another religious institute;

  • is in possession of a baptismal and confirmation certificate;

  • has voluntarily chosen religious life;

  • is physically and mentally healthy;

  • is mature enough to undergo the formation process;

  • is capable of community life.

 

Admission to the postulancy is as follows:

  • two months before the agreed date, the candidate submits her self-evaluation to the formation leader;

  • one month before the agreed date, the formation leader submits the report to the Provincial or Regional Superior;

  • the formation leader advises the Provincial or Regional Superior;

  • three days before entry, there is a period of reflection.

After the postulancy, the postulant – at her own request and with the recommendation of her leader – will be admitted to the novitiate by the Provincial or Regional Superior with the consent of her board. (K. 78).
